Going into college can seem like a really daunting experience. This was especially true for me due to the fact that both my parents and I are immigrants, and therefore we did not truly understand what the process of applying to colleges in the U.S was like. Thanks to Beth, the whole college journey became much more clear. Beth helped me find schools that seemed like the right fit for me, keep track of all the deadlines I needed to meet, and helped me feel much more confident with my applications. Now I am headed off to Occidental college, and I am extremely excited for the future. It really meant a lot to me to know that there was someone who believed in the things I could achieve, and I will be forever grateful to Beth for that. Darla | Occidental Class of 2021
I can't thank you enough. It's been a long and hard two years of work, but years I will never forget. Without you, I seriously would have no clue where to start. Thank you so much for all the hours of work you put in just for me to get into college. Matt E. | Chico State Class of 2021
Mrs. Coyle took me under her wing the second I met with her and made the strenuous college application process so much more straightforward. Beth's unconditional support and wisdom comfortably guided me toward choosing my new home. With her holistic approach to the college experience, Beth really shows care and determination in finding the right place for YOU as a person. I could not have asked for a better college counselor, who challenged and believed in me. Thank you!! Matthew Stein | University of Denver Class of 2019
As a parent, I "didn’t know what I didn’t know" - and it turned out that was a LOT. Beth has an impressive, well defined, well organized, step by step deadline anchored, on-line process that took my daughter from start to finish. Beth helped my daughter identify her interests, goals, academic strengths and college funding considerations . With her considerable and current knowledge of colleges, Beth mapped these factors to potential school choices. Once the targeted schools were identified, Beth provided excellent guidance and assistance regarding application process, essays and deadlines. Everything was tracked on-line and available to my daughter and to me. The relationship of trust and confidence that Beth developed with me and my daughter enabled me to step back and not have to be the role of worried mom, pestering my daughter. I wish I had found Beth sooner, so she could have worked with my two older kids. UB | Acalanes High School Parent
You became our voice as parents. It was a huge relief for us to know that you were always there guiding him You were a great help in persuading him to meet his deadlines and writing his college essay, you made his application process so much easier for all of us. Your diligence, bright mind, inquisitive nature, and unwavering commitment to helping kids enabled our son to achieve his success.Carol | UC Berkeley Class of 2019 Parent
Throughout the process Beth helped me work on researching schools, personal statements, applications, and meeting deadlines. She is supportive and patient, a kindhearted woman. Once admission decisions started coming out Beth helped me compile a list of things I had to consider and she encouraged me to seek opportunities to visit schools. I was able to visit my top-choice schools because I took Beth’s advice and called those schools which offered financial assistance for my trip. Now I’m off to Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, and it is all possible because of Beth, who believed in me. I am forever grateful for that and for the opportunities she has opened for me. Bianca Gonzalez | Macalester College Class of 2019
Your navigation through the process and guidance were so valuable - I don't know how we would have done it without you. It was great that you kept things on track - one less thing for the parents to do and/or possibly make a mistake on....deadlines, majors...all too much to keep track of and have to nag about...You and Jennica truly worked as a team.We can't thank you enough:) The Kaplan Family - Jennica Kaplan | UCSB Class of 2018
You accomplished what I had hoped for my son, to aim him in a direction. It sometimes takes another's guidance for one to see what is best. Denise C. | Parent, University of Oregon transfer
Before Mrs. Coyle helped me, I had no idea where I wanted to go or what I wanted in a college. But, after a few sessions everything seemed simpler and my choices were more clear. She makes decisions seem much more obvious. Travis Holian | University of Denver, Class of 2018
Visiting and applying to colleges is a lot of work! This is especially true if this is your first time tackling the process. Beth will help you learn the differences between the various school systems from state to state, how to identify schools and programs that may not be on your radar, and how to evaluate and compare the many statistics available on each school. She'll also work one-on-one with your student to coach him/her through the essay portion of the application and will develop a timeline to help your student stay on track with the application details and deadlines for each school. Most importantly, Beth listens carefully to what's important to both you and your student, so you spend your time focusing on the right schools and have the best possible visit, application and acceptance process.
